The self catering cottage of "El Aleznal" is an old traditional farmhouse which belonged for many centuries to the Condes de Adanero. It has the
traditional layout of an old cortijo of Extremadura and Andalucia.
The house has 3 double bedrooms and two bathrooms and a fully fitted kitchen.
The farmhouse has a courtyard with orange and lemon trees, a lovely place to
relax and have a drink and also a small garden in the front with a barbecue.
It is located on the road from Trujillo to Caceres. It is very well located
for visits to other places such as Monfragüe National Park, Guadalupe
and Mérida. The area is great for walking and birdwatching with eagles, vultures, and all the other Extremaduran species.
The nearest towns are Trujillo, Caceres and Montanchez, the latter famous
for its excellent jamón serrano.
