The properties are located in the heart of the High Alpujarra in the municipality of La Taha.

Facilities

Both holiday homes are fully furnished and tastefully decorated. Sheets and towels etc are provided. Likewise, all the holiday homes are independent with all mod-cons. Gas heaters for hot water and electrical heaters and firewood stoves for heating.

Both holiday homes share a beautiful 350m2 garden, with fruit trees, osiers, rose bushes, palm trees, laurels, cacti, geranium which ornate a fountain; a short path ends in a little square with a table, some chairs, and a small barbecue.

Casa Berenjena (sleeps up to 6). Three bedrooms, 2 bath rooms, kitchen, dining room with wood burner, two living rooms, lumber room, and a large terrace under a vine arbour, providing welcome excellent shade in summer.

Casa Berenjenita (sleeps up to 4). Two bedrooms, 1 bath room, kitchen - dining room, living room with wood burner, and a large terrace.

Activities

A Nature School is located on our property, consisting of an ecological vegetable garden with tomatoes, potatoes, lettuces, pepper plants, strawberries, onions. all of which is at the disposal of our guests for free in season (in spring and summer). There are also almond trees, laurels, eucalypti, osiers, pine trees, rose bushes, etc., and the 60 fruit trees which offer different varieties of pears, apples, plums, peaches, cherries, as well as medlars, kaki fruits, figs, mulberry, quinces, and also walnut, hazel, etc.; and one hundred olive trees complete the garden.

There is also a goldfish pond surrounded by reeds and aquatic plants beside a magnificent clump of holm oaks. This forms the core of a mini Botanic Garden of autochthonous plants of Sierra Nevada with a brief text in several languages. The garden has a viewpoint with wooden benches, from where to admire the magnificent Alpujarran sunsets.

The area is great for outdoors activities.  Each holiday home has a guide in English and Spanish which, besides giving information about the cottage includes a brief history of the area, with addresses and phones of restaurants, shops, libraries, etc. These guides also include signposted walks which can be done on foot from the holiday homes: Long Distance GR-7 and GR-142 (Alpujarra Path) and Short Distance like the local PR, and the circular 340 Km. walk surrounding the Sierra Nevada National Park.
