Wild stories from Lincolnshire

A couple of stories from the not-so wilds of Lincolnshire. Minks appear to have moved into the city of Lincoln and one has set up house next to the Lincolnshire Echo’s offices. Rachel Shaw, a spokesman for the Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust, was quoted “It’s quite possible that they have been attracted to the centre of Lincoln by the readily accessible supply of food – rats, mice and debris that we leave in bins and littered on the floor.” More here

And far more bizarrely, a stoat in Lincolnshire has survived a 32-mile drive wedged in a car grille. Definitely the silly season. More here
